ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Vetrnætr

Have you ever seen the big white things in the sky that spin around when it's really windy outside? Those things are called wind turbines! They help make electricity when the wind blows their blades around.

Now imagine if we used wind turbines to make electricity for a whole town or even a whole country! That's what vetrnætr are all about - they're wind turbines that are specifically designed to make lots of electricity for a whole bunch of people.

Vetrnætr are made up of big metal towers with long arms sticking out - those are the turbine blades. When the wind blows, it moves those blades around in a circle. That spinning motion makes electricity that can be sent into power lines and used by people in their homes and businesses.

It's really important for us to find ways to make electricity without hurting the environment too much. Using wind power, like with vetrnætr, is a way to do that. The wind is free and clean, so we don't have to worry about pollution or using up resources like we do with other forms of energy like coal or gas.

So vetrnætr are a cool way to use the power of the wind to help make our homes and cities run!
