Video news release

Okay kiddo, so sometimes news companies want to talk about something specific, like a new product or something exciting happening. They can't always go and film it themselves, so instead they make a video called a 'video news release' or VNR for short.

A VNR is a video that has all the information the news company needs to report on the story. It might have interviews with important people, like the creator of the new product or the person in charge of the exciting event. There might also be footage of the thing they're talking about, so the news company can show what it looks like.

The VNR is usually made by a PR company, which is a group of people whose job it is to make things look good for their clients. They might make the VNR look like a real news report, with a reporter talking and calling it 'breaking news'. But it's important to remember that it's not actually being reported by the news company themselves - they're just using the video info.

So, a VNR is basically a way for a company to tell their story to the news without the news having to show up in person. It helps the news company get their story out there and it helps the company get attention too.
