Videodisc

Hello little buddy! Have you ever watched a movie on a DVD? Great! So, videodisc is a very old version of that DVD. It was created many years ago, before DVDs and Blu-rays were invented. Videodiscs were a new way to watch movies and TV shows at home.

Videodiscs are circular, like CDs and DVDs, but they are bigger and thicker. They are about the size of a dinner plate, which is very big compared to your little hands. The videodisc has a special pattern of tiny bumps that a machine called a player reads to play the movie or TV show.

When you want to watch a movie on a videodisc, you have to put it into a videodisc player (you can imagine it like a DVD player). This machine has a little arm that moves along the bumps on the videodisc to read the movie or TV show. Then it sends the picture and sound to your TV, so you can watch it on the big screen.

Videodiscs were very popular a long time ago, but now people don't use them very much anymore because they're bulky and have lower quality than DVDs, Blu-rays and streaming services.

So that's it, dude! Hope you understood it! 😊
