Vikramashila

Vikramashila was a big school a long time ago where people went to learn many different things. It was a very special school because it was mostly for people who wanted to learn about Buddhism.

The school was located in a place called Bihar, which is a state in India. It was started about 1,200 years ago by a really important king named Dharmapala. He wanted to make sure that people could learn about Buddhism and become very smart.

At Vikramashila, people could learn many different things. They learned about how to read and write, about different languages, and about the very important teachings of Buddha. They also learned about how to meditate, which is when you sit quietly and think about things.

Vikramashila was a very big school, and many people came from all over the world to learn there. They studied very hard and became very wise. Because of this school, many people were able to become really important leaders in their communities and help other people who were in need.

Today, the school is not there anymore, but it is remembered as a very special place where people went to learn a lot and become very wise.
