Nalanda

Nalanda was a very old university, kinda like a big school, but for really smart people in ancient India. It was very very famous and people from all around the world came there to study and learn more. It had a lot of buildings and gardens and was home to thousands of students and teachers. They had many subjects to learn, like math, science, medicine, religion, and philosophy.

Nalanda was really important for many reasons. It was a place where people of different cultures, languages, and religions came together to learn and share their knowledge. Students would spend many years studying and exploring different fields with knowledgeable teachers. They also had a big library with lots of books from all over the world. People could come there, read and write books, and exchange ideas.

Sadly, Nalanda was destroyed a long time ago, but it is still remembered as one of the greatest centers of learning in history. Its legacy lives on and people still study the work that was done there.
