Vipassanā-ñāṇa is something that happens when we meditate using a special technique called Vipassana.
Now, when we meditate, we close our eyes, sit still and quiet, and try to focus on one thing, like our breath. This is called concentration.
But with Vipassana, we don't just concentrate. We also try to see things as they really are. This means we try to observe our thoughts, feelings, and sensations without getting too caught up in them or judging them as good or bad.
When we do this, we might start to notice things we never noticed before, like how our thoughts change all the time or how our body feels when we're angry. It's like we're looking at ourselves from the outside.
This process of observing and understanding ourselves is vipassanā-ñāṇa. It's like we're becoming more aware of ourselves and our world. It can help us to understand why we act the way we do and even make wiser choices in the future.
