ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Virasana

Virasana is a yoga pose where you sit on your knees with your legs folded behind you and your bottom resting on the floor or on a pillow.

It's like when you sit on your legs when playing with your toys, but instead of sitting on your feet, your feet are tucked under your bottom.

This pose can help stretch your thighs and knees, and it's great for people who have trouble sitting cross-legged.

To do Virasana, start on your hands and knees with your toes pointing backwards. Slowly lower your bottom down to rest between your feet, making sure not to hurt your knees. If it's uncomfortable, you can put a pillow under your bottom or sit on blocks to ease the stretch.

Relax your arms in your lap or on your knees, and take deep breaths in and out while holding the pose. You can stay here for as long as you like or until you feel comfortable.

Remember to always listen to your body and avoid any discomfort or pain. And don't forget to have fun!
