Virtual machine escape is a type of computer attack. It involves someone breaking into another person's computer, or virtual machine (VM). This is done by exploiting a vulnerability in the software or hardware of the VM, which might be something like an outdated operating system. After gaining access to the VM, the attacker takes control of it, and then can escape out of the virtual machine and into the operating system of the person's computer. This can give the attacker access to all the data and information stored on the computer.
