Vlachs in medieval Bosnia and Herzegovina
So imagine back in time, a long long time ago, there were a group of people called the Vlachs who lived in a place called Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Vlachs were a little bit different from other people who lived there because they spoke a different language, called Vlach.
Now, Bosnia and Herzegovina was ruled by kings and queens who were in charge. The Vlachs were kind of like visitors, they didn't really have their own king or queen. But even though the Vlachs were different, the kings and queens were okay with them living there as long as they followed the rules and paid taxes.
The Vlachs were actually really good at making things like clothes and jewelry. They would sell these things to other people who lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina and even trade with other countries nearby.
Over time, some Vlachs started to become soldiers and protect the kings and queens who ruled the land. They were really brave and strong, so the kings and queens were happy to have them on their side.
Even though the Vlachs were not the same as the other people who lived in Bosnia and Herzegovina, they were an important part of the community and helped make the land a better place.
