ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Vocational rehabilitation

Vocational rehabilitation is when someone helps people find jobs or get better at their jobs when they have a disability or injury that makes it hard for them to work. It's like when your teacher helps you when you don't understand something or are having trouble with a subject.

These helpers are trained professionals who work with people to figure out their strengths, weaknesses, and what kinds of jobs they could do. They help people with disabilities learn new skills or modify their work environment so that they can work comfortably.

The helpers may also provide training in things like writing resumes or practicing for job interviews. They help people find the right jobs for them, based on their interests and abilities.

Overall, vocational rehabilitation helps people with disabilities or injuries become more independent by helping them find jobs they can do and feel good about. It helps them contribute to society, support themselves and their families, and feel good about what they're doing every day.
