Voice over Internet Protocol

So, when you make a call using VoIP, your voice gets turned into digital bits and pieces that travel over the internet to the person you are calling. They then receive those bits and pieces and turn them back into the sound of your voice so they can hear you!

This way, you can talk to anyone in the world, even if they live really far away! Plus, using VoIP is often cheaper than using a regular phone line, so many people like to use it to save money.

And that's pretty much how Voice over Internet Protocol works, just like magic!
