Voltage

Voltage is like the pressure of electricity. A battery produces a certain amount of voltage and it takes that pressure to push the electricity through the wires. Think about a water hose: The bigger the pressure, the further the water will travel. The same is true for electricity. The higher the voltage, the further the electrical current will travel.
