ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

WYSIWYG

WYSIWYG stands for "What You See Is What You Get". It is a way to create and edit content on digital platforms like websites, documents, and emails.

Think of it like playing with blocks. When you build with blocks, you can see exactly what you're doing as you're doing it. If you want to make a tower, you stack the blocks one on top of the other until you have a tower. And what you see is what you get - you have a tower made out of blocks.

Similarly, WYSIWYG allows you to see exactly what your content will look like while you're creating it. If you want to make a heading, you simply choose the heading option and start typing. The text will show up in a big, bold font, so you can see it clearly.

This is different from some other ways of editing content, where you might have to use special codes or have to preview your changes in a separate window. With WYSIWYG, you make your changes right in the main editing area and you can see exactly what your content will look like when you're done.

So in short, WYSIWYG means that what you see is what you get when you're creating and editing content on digital platforms.
