Walter J. Freeman was a neuroscientist who studied the brain, or the part of your body that helps you think and feel. He wanted to learn about how the brain works and uses electrical signals to control our thoughts and feelings. He used tools like EEG machines to measure the electrical signals in different parts of the brain and he studied animals to learn more about how the brain worked. He wanted to use what he learned to help us better understand and treat brain disorders, like depression and schizophrenia.
