ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Walther Wever (general)

Walther Wever was a man who lived a long time ago and was a very important general in the German Air Force.

He loved airplanes so much that he wanted to make them even better so that they could help his country win wars. He spent a lot of time thinking about how to make planes stronger, faster, and more powerful.

He also thought it was important for pilots to know how to fly in different situations, like bad weather or at night. He made sure that pilots had lots of training to be good at flying in any circumstance.

But unfortunately, he passed away before he could finish all of his plans for the German Air Force. Despite this, his ideas still influenced how airplanes were made and how pilots were trained all around the world.
