Okay kiddo, you know how when you're at school, sometimes your teacher shows you a video on the TV? Well, in Washington County, the teachers decided they wanted to use the TV to help everyone learn even more!
So they started this thing called the Washington County Closed-Circuit Educational Television Project. It's a really long name, but it just means that they made their own TV channel just for schools in the county to use.
Every school in the county can use this channel to show videos and programs that teach kids all kinds of things, like math, science, history, and even art and music! And they can show it to all the students at once, so everyone can learn together.
So instead of just one teacher teaching one class, lots of teachers can all help lots of students learn all kinds of things on this special channel. And it's not just for kids in one grade or school, it's for everyone in Washington County!
Isn't that cool? It's like having a really big classroom with lots of teachers all working together to help everyone learn!
