Water absorption

When you drink water or put your hands under a faucet, the water goes into your body or hands. This is called water absorption. The water molecules are very tiny and can squeeze themselves between the cells in your body or skin. Think of it like a bunch of tiny cars fitting between the spaces of a parking lot. Once the water is inside your body or skin, your body uses it to keep you hydrated and to help your cells work properly. This is why it's important to drink enough water every day so that your body can absorb the water it needs to stay healthy.
