ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Water resource

Water resource refers to the availability and usage of water, which is a very important resource for all living things on Earth, including plants and animals, as well as humans. Water can be found in different forms such as rivers, lakes, oceans, and even as ice.

Now, just like you have a limited supply of toys, water is also limited and is becoming scarcer in many parts of the world. This is because humans use a lot of water for their daily needs like drinking, cooking, washing and so on.

Water is also used to grow crops to make food, and to produce things like clothes, shoes, and even toys that you play with. Hence, it is important to conserve water by reducing wastage and pollution.

Governments and organizations are working towards managing water as a resource to preserve it and make it available for the future. They build dams, storage facilities and use different technologies to make sure that water is available in areas that need it the most.

Therefore, it is important to understand that we must use water carefully, and not waste it so that it is available for everyone in the future.
