Water scoop (hydropower)

A water scoop is like a big spoon that people use to scoop up water from a river or stream. But instead of using it to drink or wash things, they use it to make electricity.

The water scoop is connected to a big machine called a hydropower generator. When the scoop scoops up water and pours it into the generator, it makes a special part inside the machine called a turbine start spinning really fast.

As the turbine spins, it moves a magnet inside the generator which creates electricity that can be sent to homes and buildings to power things like lights, TVs, and computers.

So basically, the water scoop helps us turn the power of moving water into electricity that we can use to make our lives easier and more comfortable.
