Water speed record

Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a really fast boat go zooming across the water? Well, some people like to try to make those boats go even faster and faster to see how fast they can make them go!

This is called a water speed record. Basically, it's a way for people to show off just how fast they can make their boats go in water.

The current record for the fastest boat on water is held by a guy named Ken Warby. He set the record back in 1978 and he went a super fast speed of 318 miles per hour! That's like driving a car at the speed limit on the highway, but way, WAY faster!

To break the water speed record, you need a special boat called a hydroplane. A hydroplane is a type of boat that is designed to lift up out of the water when it's going really fast. This helps the boat slice through the water and go even faster.

But going really fast on water is also really dangerous! There are lot of risks and things that can go wrong when you're trying to go super fast. That's why only really experienced and brave boat drivers try to break the water speed record.

So, in summary, a water speed record is when people try to make really fast boats go even faster on water. They use special boats called hydroplanes and the current record is 318 miles per hour! It's really exciting, but also very dangerous, so only the bravest and most experienced drivers attempt it.
