Weddings in India

Okay, so weddings in India are a big party where two grown-ups, usually a boy and a girl, decide to become husband and wife. There are lots of things that happen before the actual wedding day, like shopping for new clothes and jewelry, inviting guests, and planning the whole party.

On the wedding day, the groom arrives at the wedding venue on a horse (or sometimes a fancy car) with his family and friends dancing around him. The bride and her family wait for him at the entrance, and they exchange garlands made of flowers.

Then, the couple sits on a special stage called a mandap, where they are surrounded by their family and friends. There's a priest who conducts the wedding ceremony, which involves reciting prayers and exchanging rings.

After the wedding ceremony, there's usually a big feast called a reception. Everyone eats yummy food, and there's usually lots of dancing and music. The bride and groom also take lots of pictures with their family and friends.

Weddings in India are really exciting, and they can last for a few days. It's a way for families and friends to come together and celebrate the love between two people.
