Wehrmacht foreign volunteers and conscripts

The Wehrmacht was a group of soldiers who fought for Germany during World War II. Some of these soldiers were from other countries and joined the Wehrmacht voluntarily. This means they chose to fight for Germany because they wanted to or because they thought it was a good idea.

Other soldiers were conscripts. This means they were forced to fight for Germany because they were citizens of Germany or controlled territories.

Regardless of whether they were volunteers or conscripts, all soldiers in the Wehrmacht were fighting for Germany and its goals in World War II.
