ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wheat lamp

A wheat lamp is a type of lamp that is made out of wheat. Yes, you read that right – wheat! You might be thinking, "How can wheat be used to make a lamp?" Well, let me explain it to you like you're five years old.

First, the wheat is harvested from a field. Then, it goes through a process called threshing. This is when the wheat is separated from the chaff (the outer part of the wheat that can't be eaten). The wheat that's left is called the grain.

Next, the grain is ground up into a powder called flour. You might be familiar with flour if you've ever helped your mom or dad bake cookies.

After that, the flour is mixed with water to make a dough. The dough is then shaped into a round doughnut shape, like a bagel.

Now, this is where the magic happens. The dough is left to dry out in the sun. As it dries, it hardens, creating a shell around a hollow center. Once it's completely dry, the shell is carefully removed from the center, leaving behind a wheat lamp.

Finally, a light bulb is inserted into the hollow center, and voila – you have a wheat lamp! When you turn on the light, it shines through the thin, translucent walls of the lamp, creating a warm and cozy glow.

So, that's how wheat can be used to make a lamp! It's pretty cool, isn't it?
