Wheelchair lift

A wheelchair lift is a special machine that helps people who use wheelchairs move from the ground level to a higher floor, like in a building or a raised stage. Think of it like a magical elevator that can carry you and your wheelchair up or down.

When a person in a wheelchair wants to use a lift, they first need to make sure it is safe and working properly. Then they approach the lift and position their wheelchair at the bottom of it. The wheelchair lift has a flat surface that the wheelchair and the person sit on. This surface moves up and down inside a metal box that is attached to the building, like a small room.

When the person is ready, they push a button or use a lever to make the lift move upward. Inside the metal box, the lift moves up or down, carrying the person and their wheelchair to the desired height. When the lift reaches the correct floor, the person can simply roll off the lift and continue with their day.

Wheelchair lifts are important because they allow people who use wheelchairs to access spaces that would otherwise be impossible to reach. By using a wheelchair lift, people can go to school, work, or events on upper floors without having to worry about stairs or other barriers. It's like having a superpower that helps you get around easily!
