White Towns of Andalusia

Okay kiddo, so there's this place called Andalusia, which is in the southern part of Spain. And in Andalusia, there are some towns that look really white - like almost everything is painted white!

Now, the reason these towns are so white is because it gets really hot in Andalusia, especially in the summer. And when it's really hot, having light colors can help keep the buildings cooler. It's kinda like how wearing a white shirt on a sunny day can be better than wearing a black shirt, because black absorbs more heat.

But it's not just about the temperature - having white towns is also a tradition in Andalusia. Some people say that the Moors, who were Muslim people that lived in Spain a long time ago, started the trend of painting buildings white. Others say that it was to show off how clean and wealthy the town was.

Either way, these white towns are really pretty to look at! Some of them even have special festivals where they throw flowers off the balconies and everyone dances in the streets. So if you ever visit Andalusia, make sure to check out some of the white towns - they're definitely worth seeing!
