ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

White gaze

White gaze is when people of color feel like they are being judged by white people. It's like feeling like you are under a microscope or being watched or judged. For example, if you are a person of color and you are at a store, you might feel like the white people there are judging you or looking to see what you are doing. It's like they are looking at you and judging you because of your skin color or background.
