White sugar sponge cake

Ok kiddo, so you know how when you mix sugar and flour with eggs and butter, it turns into a yummy cake, right? Well, a white sugar sponge cake is just like that, but it's a really light and fluffy cake that's made extra spongy by using eggs and sugar in a special way.

First, you take some egg yolks and whisk them up with some sugar until they get thick and creamy. Then, you mix in some flour and other spices to make it taste really good. After that's all mixed up, you whip up some egg whites in a separate bowl until they're really airy and foamy, like bubble bath.

Then, you carefully fold the egg white mixture into the egg yolk and flour mixture, making sure not to stir too much or you'll lose all the fluffy bubbles. Then you pour that mixture into a baking pan and pop it into the oven until it's all cooked through and golden brown.

When it's done, you end up with a delicious white sugar sponge cake that's light as a feather and super fluffy. You can eat it plain or with some frosting or fruit on top. Yum!
