ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation

The Wilberforce Institute for the Study of Slavery and Emancipation studies the history of slavery, both what it was like in the past and how it still affects people today. They look at how people were enslaved and what happened to them afterwards. They also study how slavery still affects people today, particularly in terms of unfair working conditions, poverty and discrimination. They work to make sure that people affected by slavery and their descendants are able to have the same rights as everyone else and can live free from oppression.
