ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Winery

Alright kiddo, a winery is a place where grown-ups make a special drink called wine. Wine is made from grapes that are squished to make juice, then left to sit for a while so that the juice turns into wine.

At a winery, there are people called winemakers who spend a lot of time and effort making sure the juice turns into good wine. They use different types of grapes, yeast, and barrels to get different flavors.

Once the wine is made, grown-ups can come to the winery and try different kinds of wine. They might taste fruity wines, or spicy wines, or even bubbly wines. They can choose which ones they like best and buy a bottle to take home and enjoy later.

Some wineries also have big fields where the grapes grow, and you might see people picking the grapes by hand. It's hard work, but they do it because they want to make the best wine possible.

So that's what a winery is, a special place where grown-ups make and enjoy a fancy drink called wine.
