Wireless LAN

Have you ever heard of Wi-Fi? It's a way to connect to the internet on your phone, tablet, or computer without any cords or wires. That's what a wireless LAN is! LAN stands for local area network, which just means a group of devices (like computers or phones) that can talk to each other and share things like files or printers.

So, when you have a wireless LAN, you can connect all your devices to it and they can talk to each other without any wires. This is really helpful because you don't have to worry about tripping over cords or trying to figure out which cord goes where.

Wireless LANs work by sending out radio waves that travel through the air. Your device can pick up these waves and turn them into information that you can see on your screen. This is why you need a Wi-Fi router to make a wireless LAN work. The router sends out these radio waves and your devices pick them up.

One thing to keep in mind is that there can be a lot of other devices using radio waves too (like your neighbors' Wi-Fi). This can sometimes make your Wi-Fi slower, so you might notice things take longer to load. But overall, a wireless LAN is a really great way to connect all of your devices together without any cables!
