ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Wolfsberg Group

Ok kiddo, have you ever played a game with your friends where you make rules and agree to follow them, so everyone has fun and it's fair? Well, grown-ups do that too in their jobs, especially when they work with important things like money.

The Wolfsberg Group is like a group of grown-ups who work at big banks and financial companies. They got together to make some rules to stop bad people from doing bad things with money, like stealing or cheating. They called these rules "guidelines," and they agreed to follow them to make sure everyone is safe and honest.

For example, one of their guidelines says that the grown-ups in the banks should be careful when they are taking money from people who they don't know well. They have to check if everything is ok and make sure that the money is not coming from bad things like drugs or stealing.

So, the Wolfsberg Group is like good grown-ups who want to make sure money is used in a good way and everyone is happy and safe.
