Sometimes throughout history, women have also fought in wars. This happened between the years 1500 to 1699.
During this time, most people believed that women were supposed to stay at home and take care of the house and children. However, some women wanted to help out in wars and fight for their country, just like men did.
Some women dressed up as men and pretended to be soldiers, while others fought openly as women. There were also some women who worked behind the scenes as spies, nurses, and cooks in armies.
However, it was not easy for women to be accepted as fighters during that time. Many people did not believe that women were strong or brave enough to fight in wars. Some women had to pretend to be men so that they could join the army.
Despite these challenges, women still fought bravely in wars and showed that they could be just as skilled and courageous as men.
