Wood putty

Hey there champ! Do you know what wood is? It's what trees are made of! And sometimes, people cut down trees and use the wood to make all sorts of things like tables, chairs and doors. But sometimes, when you make something out of wood, there can be little holes, cracks, or gaps that need to be filled in so the wood looks smooth and pretty. That's where wood putty comes in!

Just like how you might use play-doh to fill in gaps when you're building something with legos, wood putty is like a special kind of play-doh for wood. It's a special type of paste that you can use to fill in little holes or gaps in your wood projects.

Once you have your wood putty, you use a little tool called a putty knife to scoop some out and apply it to the spot where you need it. Then you use the putty knife to smooth it out so it's flat and blends in with the rest of the wood. After it dries, you can paint or stain it to match the rest of the wood and it will look like nothing was ever wrong with it in the first place!
