Workers' right to access the toilet

All people, including workers, have the right to go to the bathroom when they need to. A worker is someone who does a job, like a cook or cashier. The right to have access to a toilet means that an employer, the person who pays the worker to do the job, must provide a safe and clean toilet and must make sure the worker has time to use the toilet when they need to. If an employer is not providing this right, the worker can talk to a supervisor or the Human Resources (HR) department at work. HR is in charge of making sure the rights of workers are respected.
