A working set is the amount of information stored in a computer's memory that a person uses or accesses over a given period of time. Your working set is the stuff that you are using right now and that your computer needs to remember in order to do the tasks you want it to do. For example, if you are typing a letter in Microsoft Word right now, your working set might include the document you are editing, the instructions for the computer about where to put the letters you type, and so on.
