Worshipful Company of Scriveners

Okay kiddo, so you know how there are different jobs in the world? Well, a long time ago, there were people called "scriveners" who wrote and copied important documents by hand. They were sort of like the printers we have now, but they didn't have machines to do it for them.

As time went on, the scriveners got together and created a group called the Worshipful Company of Scriveners. It was basically a club for people who did the same job, and they wanted to make sure that they were all doing their work in the best possible way.

The Worshipful Company of Scriveners also helped out their community by giving money to charities and helping people who were in need. They even had their own meeting place, which was called a "Hall."

Today, there aren't many people who are scriveners anymore because we have computers and printers to do that kind of work. But the Worshipful Company of Scriveners still exists, and they now work to preserve their history and keep their traditions alive.

So, in summary, the Worshipful Company of Scriveners was a group of people who were really good at writing important documents. They created a club to help each other and also helped their community. They still exist today, but their job isn't as popular as it used to be because of technology.
