XTERRA Triathlon

So you know what a triathlon is, right? It’s when people run, swim, and bike all in one race! Well, an Xterra triathlon is a type of triathlon that’s done on rugged, off-road terrain, like mountainous trails or rocky beaches.

Xterra triathlons have three parts, just like a regular triathlon: The first part is swimming, the second part is biking, and the third part is running. But in an Xterra triathlon, the course is really tough and challenging. You might have to swim through big waves or currents, bike up steep hills, or run over rough, rocky ground.

But that’s not all! In Xterra triathlons there’s also an element of adventure - meaning that before the race, no one knows exactly what the course will be like. It’s a surprise!

People who do Xterra triathlons have to be very strong and very brave. It’s not easy, but it’s a lot of fun! And when the race is finished, the athletes feel like they’ve really accomplished something amazing.
