Xenohormesis

Xenohormesis is a process that happens when a plant is stressed by something and it responds by producing chemicals that protect it from the stress. These chemicals can also be beneficial to animals, like us, when we eat the plant. So xenohormesis is when plants produce special chemicals and we get a benefit from eating them.
