Xylitol

Okay kiddo, xylitol is a kind of sweetener. You know how sugar is sweet and we use it to make things like cookies or cakes taste yummy? Well, xylitol is also sweet but it is not the same as sugar. It comes from a plant called birch tree and some other fruits and vegetables.

The cool thing about xylitol is that it tastes sweet just like sugar, but it doesn't make our teeth hurt by causing cavities! So we can use xylitol instead of sugar to make things sweet, but also keep our teeth healthy and strong.

And another cool thing is that xylitol is good for dogs too! But they must not eat too much because too much of it can make them sick, so we should keep it away from them.

So, xylitol is a sweetener that we can use to make things sweet without causing cavities, and it also good for dogs but they shouldn't have too much of it.
