Younger Dryas impact hypothesis

The Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis is an idea that about 12,000 years ago, something big and fast hit Earth and caused a lot of changes. It could have been either a comet breaking apart or a really big and heavy chunk of rock from outer space. The impact of this event was so strong, it changed the way the Earth worked. It made the air get very cold, which froze lots of the plants and animals on Earth. It also changed the environment and caused some of the animals to die. This event might have even caused some of the humans that were living during that time to move away and go somewhere else.
