Zellij

Zellij is a type of decorative tile used in traditional Moroccan architecture. It is made by cutting small pieces of ceramic or stone into different shapes and fitting them together like a puzzle to create intricate designs.
Think of it like playing with Legos, but instead of building a castle, you are building a beautiful pattern on a floor or a wall. The colourful tiles are then glued together with a special cement and polished to create a smooth surface.
