ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Zenith camera

Okay kiddo, so a zenith camera is like a really fancy tool that lets you capture pictures of things you see around you. It's kind of like a photo-taking gadget, but it's not like the camera on your phone. It's a bit bigger and heavier, and you have to do a few more things to make it work.

First, you have to put something called film inside the camera. Film is kind of like a blank piece of paper that's sensitive to light. When you take a picture with the zenith camera, the light from the thing you're taking a picture of shines onto the film and leaves a mark there, kind of like a sunburn.

Next, you have to look through a little window on the top of the camera to see what you want to take a picture of. You can move the camera around to get a different view, but you have to make sure it's steady or your picture will turn out blurry.

Once you're ready, you press a button on the top of the camera and it takes a picture. You'll hear a little click sound when that happens.

Now, the tricky thing is that you can't just see the picture right away. Remember how light had to shine onto the film to make a picture? Well, you have to take the film out of the camera and send it to a special place called a lab. The lab will use chemicals and special machines to make the picture visible on the film.

Once that's done, you'll be able to see your picture! It might not look exactly like what you saw through the camera window though. Sometimes the colors are a little different or the picture is darker/lighter than you expected. But that's okay, because it's all part of the fun of taking pictures with a zenith camera.
