Zodiacal light

Zodiacal light is what happens when the sun's light reflects off tiny dust particles floating in space. Imagine little pieces of dust that are so small, they look like tiny grains of sand. These dusty particles are floating around in space and are so small, they're hard to see.

When the sun shines its light onto these little pieces of dust, they reflect back some of the light towards Earth. This creates a faint glow in the sky, which can be seen just after sunset or just before dawn.

Think of it like a giant flashlight shining on a dusty room. Even though you can't see the dust particles themselves, you can see the light reflecting off of them and creating a hazy glow.

In the sky, the zodiacal light looks like a faint triangular-shaped cone that stretches upwards towards the sky. It's called the "zodiacal" light because it can be seen in the same area where the zodiac constellations can be found.

So, next time you look up at the sky just after sunset or before sunrise, keep an eye out for the zodiacal light. It's a beautiful natural phenomenon that shows us how even the tiniest things in space can create something amazing.
