Cinéma vérité

Cinéma vérité is a type of movie-making style that tries to show people, places, and events exactly as they actually are. To do this, filmmakers often shoot with hand-held cameras, using natural light and real-life sound. They also try to capture events as they happen without interrupting them. Cinéma vérité movies aim to show how things truly are, and so they often avoid having actors or scripts. Instead, filmmakers simply document what is already happening, allowing viewers to experience reality on their own terms.
