D-Wave Systems

D-Wave Systems is a type of computer called a quantum computer. Quantum computers use something called quantum mechanics to do calculations. This is different from regular computers because most computers use numbers to do calculations. Quantum computers use something called quantum bits, or qubits, which can exist in more than one state at the same time (this is called "superposition"). This means that quantum computers are able to do a lot of calculations at once, making them faster than regular computers.
