Edge sorting

Edge sorting is a way of looking at the edges of playing cards to figure out what they are even if they are face down. Think of it like looking at the tag on the back of your shirt to see what size it is, but instead of a tag, you're looking at the edges of a card.

So why does edge sorting work? Well, sometimes when cards are made, they don't get cut perfectly straight. This means that some cards will have slightly different designs or patterns on the edges. By memorizing which cards have which patterns, a person can figure out what card they are looking at even if they can't see the front of it.

Now, some people might use edge sorting in a dishonest way to try and cheat at card games. That's not okay! Cheating is wrong and can get you in big trouble. It's important to always play fair and have fun.
