ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

quantum computer

A quantum computer is a type of computer that uses quantum mechanics to solve problems. It's like a regular computer, but it works on a much smaller scale and can use more powerful methods to solve hard problems. In a quantum computer, information is stored as 'qubits', which are like regular bits but can also be in two states at the same time. This unique feature of quantum computers allows them to process and sort through vast amounts of data much faster than regular computers can.
