Found footage (film technique)

Found footage is a film technique that makes it seem like a movie is made up of real-life footage that was found by the people who made the movie. It works by using camera shots, editing, and sound effects to make it look like a camera was actually there during the events that are shown onscreen. This can give the movie a more realistic, “documentary” feel. Found footage is often used in horror and science fiction movies.
