Āsh

"Ash" is the dust that you get when something burns. Do you know when you have a campfire and throw some wood in it? After it burns, the stuff left over that's gray and powdery is called ash!

But, āsh is also a Persian dish that’s made with soup and different ingredients like beans, lentils, vegetables, meat, and spices. It can be served hot or cold! Imagine you have a bowl of soup with lots of yummy things inside, that's what āsh is like! And since it's so healthy and hearty, people in Iran often eat it as a meal for lunch or dinner.
