ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

1 kilometre

Okay, kiddo, so you know how we measure how far things are from each other, right? Well, one way we measure distance is in something called "kilometres."

Now, a kilometre is like a really big step. You know how you take small steps when you're walking, but sometimes you take big steps when you're playing? Well, a kilometre is like a big step for grown-ups.

Imagine you had to walk from our house to the park down the street. That's a pretty long walk, right? It might take us 10 or 15 minutes to get there. Well, if we measured how far away the park was in kilometres, it would be 1 kilometre away. That's a long way!

So, to put it simply, a kilometre is a measurement we use to say how far apart things are from each other. And 1 kilometre is a really big distance, kind of like taking a giant step when you're playing a game.
